Hi, I have been unable to get disopyramide for the past month, and wondered if anyone has managed to find it in stock anywhere?
Has Disopyramide ceased production completely?

This is what I found by doing a search, but you probably may know this already:
Disopyramide (Rythmodan®) 250mg prolonged release tablets are out of stock until mid- December 2023 but parallel imports remain available and can fully cover demand. 3. Limited stock of parallel imports of disopyramide 100mg are available and can partially cover demand for 100mg capsules.4 Oct 2023.
Have you tried ringing all nearby Pharmacists to see if anyone has some in stock? I've often rang the supplier to ask if they are available and who will be stocking them.
I've had to have higher strength Pills and halve them at times because some of my meds at the lower strength I want are not available.
Sorry you've had this problem, I know how annoying it is.

Try 111? Xx
Like you, I was taking this drug for many years, then in the last 6 months it has been impossible to obtain and as a result my cardio put me on Propanafol. I rang all the local pharmacies, I even rang the manufacturer who told me that it was a manufacturing problem and was not discontinued however couldn't give me a date when manufacture could start again, so I guess will now have to stay on the replacement drug. Not happy and apparently this is happening to quite a few drugs which is alarming to say the least!
Hi, if you can't source it in the UK, you can buy it from Israelpharm (online company based in US) - just Google ISRAELPHARM and then put 'dis' (that's enough) in the search box and it comes up as 'Norpace' - 60 x 150mg capsules is 32 bucks.
They are good to deal with - you'll need to wire the money to a bank in the US - I use XE for this (you'll need to set up an account with them).
All the best to you and all who read this for 2024 !
Thanks for this, I can see the Norpace on their site, but not the Rhythmodan Retard variety that I use. I had the capsules once as a stop gap, but had issues with them, so will need to keep looking. The only info I hades as above, out of stock til mid December, fingers crossed this is resolved by January. Thanks again for your help with this.
Update. I received this reply yesterday from the UK supplier:-
"Resupply of Rythmodan 100mg is scheduled for a delivery on 28/12 into our pre-wholesaler. Product is still awaiting on market release.
Pharmacy ordering from Alliance and Phoenix is foreseen to be by end of first week in Jan, second week the latest.
We do not have an expected availability date of the Rythmodan Retard 250mg modified release tablets. There is a manufacturing issue with this product, and this has resulted in a temporary delay"
So we are still waiting......
Apparently after contacting Neon Manufacturers -UK suppliers, stocks are coming in on December 28th, which is the most positive indicator they’ve had to date. Disopyramide is therefore expected to be transferred to UK pharmacies sometime in January 2024. As like you, I’ve been trying to locate this drug in the hope that I have enough until supplies are back, which has been very difficult. It’s an older drug that isn’t always carried as general stock, but seems to suit me and also others I’ve read, better than alternative antiarrthymics.
