Hi allHave had a quiet spell since my ablation in December 21 but have started to get af episodes every few weeks again and consultant has decided to give me a 2nd ablation in November.
Problem I'm having now for the last few days is.low blood.pressure which is making me feel unwell . Its dropping down to 98/58 .or there about when sitting and makes me feel lightheaded and of balance and generally unwell . Is this af linked or is it possibly something else ?
Anything thoughts welcomed

Atre you drinking enough water? This warm weather we need at least 2 litres a day. I had a similaar experience during the first hot weather and soom jacked it up again with somebih glasses of water. This was eary in the day so the night time lack of water had taken effect.
I had the same during a recent period of prolonged/frequent AF, with headache and nausea as well - I was getting worked up imagining all sorts until I thought to take my BP and found I had very low diastolic pressure which apparently (Dr Google) causes heart weakness. It should be above 60. Lowered my dose of BP meds and fine now but it took a while to recover.
Talk to your GP. Your systolic is normal range and your diastolic oa little low. So it's odd you feel faint etc. Although we're all different of course. You know to lie flat with your legs slightly elevated when the pressure drops? It does help. . Our BP is sometimes disturbed when we get runs of AF. Maybe you're lacking electrolytes. I used to keep organic coconut water to hand and that helped
I would say that's low, but depends if it's a change from normal.
It's why it's important to know what your normal is.
I can certainly confirm that low blood pressure can make you feel very unwell and if I get up from sitting without checking my pulse, I can be on the floor within a couple of steps.
My circumstances are a little unusual and known to cardiology.
No-one has ever mentioned hydration as being implicated, but in this unusually hot period, it's certainly sensible to make up for sweating losses.
I had low blood pressure for a sustained period of time last year. It made me dizzy every time I stood up. I phoned the heart rhythm nurse at the local hospital. She advised me to keep a record of the rate for one week, submit morning and evening recordings upon doing this she spoke with the Cardiologist and I was advised to cut my sotrolol tablet in half. That quickly resolved the problem
I had this happen about 4 months post ablation. Much lower than even yours. I concentrated on eating well, exercise and dranking lots of herbal teas and electrolytes with a bit of added Redmond Salt. Also I found that compression socks actually helped as well.
