Does anyone out there suffer with TIA like Seizures with A Fib?I have had episodes which have typical Tia symptoms for many years and actually had Tia's 7 or 8 years ago and had a carotid artery op.Since then have had a diagnosis of migraine as a cause for 3 years & Seizures as a diagnosis for the last 2.As they were sometimes only 1 or 2 a month & usually less than 10 mins my neurologist was happy that I took no medication until I got my AFib sorted.
NOW THIS IS THE INTERESTING THING.I had an ablation 6 months ago and apart from 1 the day after my ablation I have had no more Seizures. Can anyone relate to this or offer an insight?
No changes in Meds.
I will bring it up at my 6 months review with EP & after that my neurologist.
Sorry for the long post and thanks to those still reading.

I feel certain that a brain scan would show any past problems. It does seem odd that if as I gather from your post, you have not been on anticoagulants, then TIAs are highly likely.
Bob,I have had parts of my head / brain scanned that I didn't know existed.Hense the diagnosis of seizures.Evidence of earlier Tia's but Neurologist explained to me that as always same part of body effected I would have had a stroke as it would have damaged the brain..Left arm numbness & difficulty raising left arm.Left jaw & lip numbness Also Slurred speech. Yes been on anticoagulation since 2017 for AFib. This was always the answer On anticoagulant so can't be Tia.Doplar scan just in case .80- 90% blocked .Pressure behind blockage 3 times normal.Had a carotid endarterectomy.
But not really the question!I believe these episodes where caused by the AFib.
I said to my Neurologist that I had more episodes as my AFib got worse. She said it was possible that less blood getting to the brain.
I just wondered if anyone has experienced the same.
