hi guys, I had a cardiac MRI with a private clinic on Tuesday and was told there would be a report in 48 hours, rang this morning and they said it hadn’t been reported on. The question I’m asking you guys is if there was anything red flag related surely the person doing the scan would’ve seen it and reported straight away? My anxiety levels are through the roof and just wanted an answer from someone. Thanks guys as always

Interpretation of MRIs is its own special skill.
Some things would be obvious to anyone even glancing at the screen. But all they are actually doing is ensuring that the MRI is run properly and has produced a usable scan for an expert to interpret.
Someone close to me had an MRI (non-cardiac)some years ago - when internet speeds were significantly lower. Scan had to be sent to Australia to be interpreted. Can't remember how long it took but at least three days extra due to time zone/working hours/transmission time.
Of course you are anxious. Who wouldn't be?

The operator is NOT ALLOWED to discusss the scan with patients as they are not qualified. Stop worrying as there is nothing sinister in their actions. All perfectly normal.
If you had your scan on Tuesday, well it's only Thursday today. Try again tomorrow afternoon.
Hope all will be well for you.
