question for anyone

just curious why the “date” of any of these many posts is not shown at the top/title of each separate post? I would prefer to know if I am reading something fairly current or many years old. Perhaps I am missing something. Many thx!

It gives you the number of hours, days years etc ago. I often get responses to posts I made five years ago or more. If calendar dates are what you want then I'm sure you can work it out but why?

Why. Because it would be so darn “simple” to “state the date” vs saying “1 year ago”

on my phone while it doesn't show date it shows time from posting. So your post is showing as being posted 54 minutes ago.

Agree with BobD's post.

As comments above. What I’m interested in is how recent / current / relevant the thread is and if it had instead the origination date, I’d be working out how old the post was.

It's always states how long it's been on the forum underneath the heading of the post you're reading.

Well bobbyp28, I can see that you posted 16 hours ago, which was about 4pm British Summer Time, and earlier than that for you depending on which time zone you're in.I get a daily summary of all posts for 3 medical conditions I have. I can of course search for a topic and the system will tell me how old the post is.

I think knowing how old a post is, in this discussion board, is probably better than knowing its exact date. Which date would that be, the local date or the British date? It would be confusing..
