To all you kind people from FlapJack onwards, who have replied to my question re Apixaban side effects - my sincere apologies for my silence!

I have encountered a technical problem in replying. I have tried to reply individually, but when I press the Tag to send the notes, it fails to respond. So I’ve taken the next best step and sent a new Post to make everyone aware of the reason for my non-communication! It may take several days, but please be assured that when the system is restored, I shall reply to everyone individually. Many thanks. Rosa.

Discuss with your doctor and ask to be re-evaluated for thinners/AC's based on your CHADS score, current symptoms and any other factors that might be relevant. You might also want to try a different AC as it may have a different side effect profile. Remember, AC's like all medical decisions should be a shared process called shared medical decision making. It's not just your doctor talking and the patient listening and nodding :)
