stinging heart
mMy only thought would be perhaps shingles? That can be painful and sting and sometimes there's nothing to see. Maybe your GP could check?
I feel that individual heart sensations vary so much and are hard to describe. Also, once they happen, I find that it's nigh on impossible to stop anxiety coming in and, with that, the pulse, often accompanied by palpitations, soon shoots up.
I haven't had a bypass but have had an ablation and I have had occasional weird "stinging" feelings along many others but always very transient, except for a kind of chest ache that can last for hours. I think if your doctor felt these were of any consequence. he would have reacted differently and wanted to see you. Have you been able to ask your GP about the feelings? He or she will likely have many patients who have reported similarly odd sensations after a bypass? I always feel that a GP is better placed than a specialist to know about these things as they see patients over a much longer period.

During my ablation in 2018 I felt a really painful sting towards the middle right if my chest. It hurt!!! Even now I still get that on snd off occasionally but I have never found out what and why. Ive mentioned it to my current EP but he doesn’t say much
Hope you’re ok
Have you googled "chostocondritis"? I have it and at times it feels like I'm having a heart attack so painful and sharp in the sternum area. Just another "thorn in the flesh" we have to deal with while growing older. I'm 77. Good Luck and hope you find out what it is.
