Kardia says "Normal Sinus Rhythm...

A month into the "blanking period" doing great, feeling good, I overdid it with yard work and an air conditioner install. Back into AFIB via feelings and Kardia... Seven days of kicking my self and thinking that's life, woke up from a brief respite feeling good, backed up with steady pulse, got out Kardia and yippee....NSR

I realize that this is possible during this period, just want to pass along my joyful expression and the second chance I've been given...

Glad you flipped back into normal rhythm. Yes, you really got to take it easy after ablation. At week four, not only could I not install an air conditioner, were it not for my remote control, I hardly had the energy to turn it on :) Take it slow, your heart just told you something. Only one chance to get the healing period right to give your ablation the best chance of succeeding. I'm 8 weeks post now and just starting to get back to normal activities, but I still won't push it.

Oh Nooo. You are doing too much. Your heart has had an operation on it. Unfortunately the heart can't rest up as it has to keep going day or night. What you can do though is not stress it whilst it's healing. You did far far too much. Think about it like this.... If u broke your leg and it had to be operated on would you be running a marathon at week 4 post surgery..When an operation is done that is minimal invasive like a catheter ablation there's a tendancy to think it's no biggie but that's wrong. It is. Years ago I had my gall bladder removed via keyhole. Amazing & nothing to see much externally afterwards, so I dismissed it's severity. A consultant told me off and said its a big op.... A lot going on underneath that you can't see..... Rest up. I was mortified..

The same applies here..... Enjoy the sun but remember you are convalescing....

Lots of us make this type of mistake. Current heat wave in Europe won't help either. Sounds like you're back on track though.

I too overdid it in the garden after my first ablation. I've since learned my lesson! So glad you blipped back into NSR -- you're still in the blanking period so all should be fine.

Thank you for sharing your heart going back into sinus rhythm. That is very encouraging to me. My heart went back into Afib three days after my ablation. I am very tired and praying that it will go back into sinus rhythm. I am 73.

Thank you all for the sentiments, and I will comply with the "take it easy" offers, I do feel as though my prayers have been answered and will let the healing take place...some times we need a 2X4 across the forehead to get it!!
