Hello and welcome to the forum. Take a look at the factsheet (link below) which was written by patients for patients so it explains some of the recovery issues which may not be explained by the medics. Hope the rate has reduced but 135 is unusually high even so soon after the ablation. If it doesn’t ease off soon, I suggest you contact the hospital, hopefully you have some contact details which will enable you to contact an Arrhythmia Nurse. With the weekend looming, if you feel faint or have any unusual chest pains immediately dial 999. This is not normally necessary but don’t take any chances…..

Unless you've been given instructions what to do by your doctor in advance -- If your heart rate remains at 135 you should contact your doctor, or head to the A&E, especially if you're not feeling well. There's a good chance you could be in afib or aflutter.

Good advice on contacting your provider. Can you tell easily when you're in AFib? Many of us know immediately when we're in AFib, but some people don't even know (which is amazing to me). 3 days after ablation, things are still all new. Bouts of AFib on and off are pretty common in the first couple months. A resting heart rate of 80 post ablation sounds very normal...that's a out what mine was for a solid month or so, and size months later still isn't down to what it was pre AFib. 135 sounds like what mine was while in AFib. Anyway..talk to your provider...but based on being in the first week, this doesn't sound super abnormal. Good luck in your recovery!

After my ablation it felt like my heart was doing somersaults for the first 48 hours. Then things calmed down. Your heart goes through trauma with ablation. It can take a while for "normality to resume". Don't worry, but if you are really concerned you must contact your EP team. I wish you well.
