I'm sure that you will all have seen the posts about Patients Day this October 8th to be held at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Bridge Street, Birmingham here in UK.

Early Bird registration is still available until June so get your fingers out if you haven't already.

The Day is always great fun and full of information and you get a chance to meet like minded people and share experiences. I'm not sure yet if I will be organising our usual Pink Carnation Club supper on the Saturday night for those staying over as that usually depends a lot on you lot and your wishes but I know at least one member I shall be having dinner with.

I've been going now since our very first in 2007 and still learning.

Would love to be there. That date is my 40th wedding anniversary. One day I’ll make it to my he UK for a patient’s day 😉

I dare not book, not knowing a date for the valve surgery as yet but if I can make it, count me in for dinner 😊.

I might come along, do you have a ‘health unlocked buddies’ table? I’d love to hear more about pulse field if it’s on the agenda. Really do wish a surgeon could present too though, get some debate with the EPs for persistent cases. Good news though more convergent hybrids happening now. 2 London hospitals patients have been offered in last few weeks, 2 different hospitals :)

When we first started all those years ago we had the Pink Carnation Club and all wore one for ID .Up until Covid stopped play I always took a dozen along to hand out to those who forgot. The format of the day has been different with some years round tables and others lines of chairs so short answer to you first question is no.
