Hello, my mother is on Multaq. Not sure if her symptoms of poor equilibrium and vertigo could be caused by Multaq? Has anyone on this drug had these symptoms? Or just simply affecting your head?

They do sound like atrial fibrillation symptoms rather than Multaq side effects. Though it did sap my energy a bit when I went into sinus rhythm, and lowered the resting heart rate.

Standing too quickly can be a culprit, and dehydration too. Though it’s best to get it checked out, especially if your mum is also on anticoagulants, to avoid falls.

I was on multaq for a yr after 1st ablation with no problems then suddenly I started getting dizzy after taking it & blurred vision. Consultant took me off it straight away. He wanted me to give it another go coming up to my 2nd ablation & straightaway I had blurred vision, headache, dizzyness, couldn’t sleep(I can usually sleep anywhere, anytime) & muscle spasms. It was horrendous, again EP stopped them & said not to take again.
