Exhaustion and AF

I have noticed that often I will wake up utterly exhausted for no real reason one day and the next day my AF will kick in. Does anyone else get this? Is this a known "warning" of any kind?

Hi Spj.

I kind of understand where you coming from with this one. When I am in afib I find it hard to wake and get up - not so when I am in sinus. Do you monitor your pulse when you feel this way? I suggest it may be likely your afib has returned already when you wake up feeling like this. I could be wrong of course but it's worth checking.

Have you perhaps thought of asking your doctor to check for something called obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA)? It's a major cause of AF, apparently.

a second vote for what Steve said - Sleep Apnoea may well be the culprit here.
