Many years ago I had what you are now experiencing and it wore me out. I would contact your GP asap and hopefully he can prescribe some medication to calm your heart rate.
We all have different levels of acceptance (coping) and generally speaking A and E is the last place to be but any fainting , chest pain or difficulty breathing should be checked out,.
That sounds exhausting. If it were me I'd contact your cardiologists secretary & explain. You could try your GP.....but Monday morning is notorious time to try.. I wouldn't leave it because it's a change & needs checking out.
just so gutted as thought the weight loss had really made a difference and at least took me out of permanent AF and back to part time Af and now I’m experiencing my worse 1 hour of AF since I was diagnosed 2 years ago .
I would go to A&E - otherwise call 111 and they’ll send an ambulance, or try to! Better if you can get someone to take you. I understand how disappointing it must be but this could be a one off brought on by something else going on in your body ❤️🩹
In my case, I’ve been told to take a 1.25mg bisoprolol tablet and wait for it to work. The idea of sitting in A&E puts me off that route but it really isn’t an easy thing to do as the tablet takes a good hour to do anything. My experience of hospital is that all they will do is monitor you fora few hours after giving 5mg bisoprolol. Of course, if the monitor showed other cardiac issues, then that would be different.
I can’t take a higher dose easily at home as I tend to get a low heart rate a day or so later.
The last time this happened my pulse went to 180 bpm but was generally 150bpm, soon dropping to 90-120.
I would ask tor GP for specific advice done he or she knows your heart test results and your history. Mine is wonderful and helpful.
