Ablation abbreviations Curious what they mean.

Just curious what these mean as shown on my discharge letter after ablation.RFV x 3 (USS)

RV and CS

TSP x 1-BRK-1 and SL0

I can guess at some but not sure.

Well now you are asking……… apart from RV = right ventricle - haven’t a clue. Good luck with that one, maybe ask your specialist?

I think that RFVx3 means that they used 3 catheters in the right femoral vein - though no idea about the USS part of it. I do know that my discharge letter only really mentioned the two ‘access’ sites. I had a couple of catheters on the left as well as I was participating in a study.

I think USS is utilisation of Steerable Sheets.

BRK is the type of needle

I think SL0 is the sheath for the BRK needle.
