Black seed oil for high blood pressure?

Hi everyone, looking for advice please. I’ve recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I fear the GP will want me to take more tablets, on top of the Bisoprolol I already take for my AF. My BMI is good apparently, and I already exercise regularly and eat healthily, although I’d like to lose a bit of weight. I’d love to know if anyone has any tips for getting blood pressure down. A relative swears by Black Seed Oil, which I confess I’d never heard of till now. Has anyone tried it, and if so with what success?

A friend started taking cinnamon capsules/tablets and said it brought his BP down.

I do deep breathing - always brings my BP down. Make sure you take a deep breath in, then breathe out quickly through the mouth with a huff sound. Don't overdo it either, try about 6 breaths, then test to see if it's lowered.

What do you consider high? How are you taking your BP? Is it a one off reading? Keep a BP journal for a week and only take your BP after resting for 10 mins and not stressed. Take 3 readings a day for a week and then do an average. If your average figure is very high then look at doing something but ignore one off readings.

Be very, very careful with taking any supplements if you are already taking meds for Hypertension and anticoagulants as many can increase the efficacy of the meds.

I drink a small cup of organic beetroot juice each morning. The organic "Beet It" beetroot juice from Tesco. However it does include 10% organic apple juice for flavour.

I myself was initially incredulous, but I cannot deny the facts. Just make sure your beetroot juice is either home made from organic beets, or if a commercial product, that it avoids sugar and sweeteners.

And here are a couple of articles I quickly found online ...

Good luck.

No experience with BSO but I bought some as one of the supplements which apparently is useful if you get a bad dose of Covid.
