SVEs long runs

Had a Cryo ablation September 2021 for AF and I’ve been absolutely fine until recently. Having long runs of SVEs . Determined by Kardia 6L

I know they are deemed non threatening but has anyone had similar experience of the same please

My Kardia doesn’t always give mine a name but, yes - long runs of ectopics.

I have episodes of SVEs since my last ablations. They can last all day so in that sense they cover a long period of time but I usually have around 3 per minute. It can be pretty wearing. Then I go for maybe 3 weeks without noticing any at all. I try to ignore them if possible. This is harder to do if I am sitting around not doing much than if I am busy. Every now and then my Kardia shows a 30 second run of AF although to me it feels the same as the ectopic beats. I am hoping this is a sign that my heart is trying to go into AF and failing because of the scar tissue caused by the ablation. X

Did you mean to say “ hoping “ ? How many ablations have you had .

I had a partially successful ablation for PAF then a second ‘touch up’ ablation that was quickly aborted due to an unusual complication. Over the next 6 years my AF became persistent but I was told I couldn’t have another because of the previous complication. Then a new EP said he would have another go under GA. so I had a cryoablation in July 2022 which successfully dealt with the AF. Unfortunately I still had AT and flutter so I had another to ablate the areas in the heart causing this. This was 6 months ago and so far so good. For the first time in many many years I have a quiet heart! As stated I do have a fair number of ectopics which I try to ignore. X

Are you taking magnesium?

Thanks for the response. No, I’m not taking magnesium but haven’t been since the ablation 18 months ago.

in the past when I had AF, I did try magnesium etc

Worth trying magnesium taurate or heart calm. Might do the trick re ectopics. I went off my magnesium before my ablation in Dec for a few days but started it again straight away afterwards. Two months in and still getting a few ectopics but not many. Best wishes for the future

I do take magnesium in magnesium oil spray form. It is meant to absorb well through the skin and doesn’t affect digestion. X

Yes have had many long runs of ectopics - sometimes on my worst days and weeks up to 10000+ per day going on for hours and hours. Unfortunately, my ectopics sometimes seem to trigger tachycardia which in turn can trigger afib. Based on this I am challenged to believe that Ectopics are truly benign (especially at higher rates). Hopefully yours have stabilized and you are feeling better?

Sounds like you are all having to accommodate a lot going on. I'm waiting on 1st ablation prompted by 6 attendances at A&E in a few weeks developed a proven A flutter late December and it's been like as storm since. When sudden onset nothing can hold it back I try Vaksalva if it's incremental onset will sometimes terminate up to 130-140 but sudden is jump to 250-270 plus usually sits then about 160-170 on pulse for 4-5 hrs exhausting.I've had a lot of ectopics leading into these daily runs

Now on Lercandipine 20 mg plus thyroxine 100 mg am plus apixaban 5 mg x2 day and propanfone 150 x3 day with 1.25 bisoprolol x2 day along with asthma meds

I find that bronchospasm at high heart rate very hard to deal with I use gtn spray with sabutmol to counter sob

I've got a driver a Phaeochromocytoma type situation pushing noradrenaline that max out blood pressure and heart rate. A bad combination for sure

Hoping pulse technology will feature as electroporation a 2022 technology causes less damage

Have any of you got experience of that as I'm hoping to get some relief as spending a week or more in hospital CCU is now a norm for me

I'm hoping we can all benefit from wearable technology such as the zio path device which detects a fib

Any feedback welcomed
