non alcoholic drinks

Hi, was diagnosed with AF 2020, for 12 months i cut back on drinking alcohol and eventually stopped over 15 months ago. I do miss having a beer but i don't think its worth the risk and cant enjoy it ,thinking it may bring on an "episode". Question is........are the 0.05% alcohol beers safe for me to drink,? i know there are no absolute answers . I have an episode about once per month.

Depends on the person as with all things AF. I sometimes drink them. And doesn't seem to make my already symptomatic AF any worse.

I think you would be okay with that amount of alcohol as it would need 100 bottles to equal one 5% bottle. There are some decent low alcohol beers such as Adnams ghost ship at 0.5% which do have some taste. Does stopping beer work?

well......i think stopping drinking helps health in general, i have lost a couple of stone and blood pressure has dropped to normal but i suppose how much you drink..........i was a bit of a weekend heavy drinker.

I did what you did during covid, abstained for 15 months but if anything afib episodes increased so I'm back drinking with no adverse consequences. I know what you mean about other health issues.
