Still got problems

I will come out of every community I am in, in HU and will close my account. Trying to restore things to my original settings is proving to time consuming and tiedious. Depending on how tiresome it is I will return later with a different account and name.

People on Asthma+lungs have been having problems too in one way or another and not all have been solved. Hoping you’ll be able to hold on, keep reporting the problem to Admin and all will be ok soon. Fingers crossed.

What is the problem you're having John? Someone on the forum may be able to advise. Is it just that you're not receiving emails re the forum?

this is an outline of my issues ...............

" Around the 19 or 20 January I noticed I started receiving posts from another HU forum, namely, “Lung Conditions Community Forum”. I cannot think how I got into this as I am not in anyway concerned with lung issues and have no interest in the subject at all ….unless in some weird way I have been hacked".

Since 19 or 20 January I have received no HU posts in the forums which are in my community of interests. Except that is the three yesterday from Tracy Admin, CD and your goodself.

After a while I managed to delete myself from the Lung forum but it rather looks as if I may possibly have deleted myself from everything. I have noted Jeans comments and tried that but nothing changes. I have also done what Tracy suggests but again nothing changes.

Any thoughts anyone can offer would really be appreciated. So weird – yet I managed to post on here and ask for help and you and CD and Jean saw my post and replied and I got your replies. Others have seen my comments too BUT still no incoming posts from the wider communities of which I am associated, AFA, Pain etc

I'll give it a tad longer until close of play today and if I can't sort it I'll come out and reenter with a new email address which I use for other things. I'm coming to the thought I've been hacked.

At one time this same thing happened to me and it was because of my internet provider. The Health Unlocked tech guys had to sort it out. I would try and contact them.

If you take yourself off the forums and go back on again, you could well have the same problem.

I had similar issue awhile back and changing email address corrected the issue. This after going they checklist sent by admin.

If you only have one email address, consider opening another.

Hi John.

I hope you get it sorted - it's most likely the most simple of things. Easy to fix when you know how! If you have any reason to think you may have been hacked - change your passwords asap and do a sercurity scan on your computer to check for viruses.

Oh dear it is not easy.

I tried to withdraw from Thyroid UK but still have this Forum.

I contacted a Brett as JeanJeannie said worked for her.

Then I went right back to account and found the different forums.

I unticked Thyroid UK (couldn't respond as restricted cause I was in NZ and a M.. Forum. Unticked I did not receive any more posts except this fab forum.

I’d have thought changing your password would do it, but obviously not. Best of luck. Software and security is too complex.
