I received a Versa 2 watch for Christmas and they have introduced a sleep tracing feature on it that might be very useful for those who think they might have sleep problems.
You sleep with it on and it automatically tracks your sleep during the night and when you wake up it tells you how much sleep you've had and whether it was quality sleep , you find out how much Rem and Deep sleep you have had as well .
Now they have added a graph that tells you if your sleep was interrupted by poor breathing.
if you go out of the green part of the graph it goes orange and the more it spikes the more likely it is you have a problem that you can relate to your doctor.
Its not completely reliable yet but they are increasing the graphs ability to track sleep Apnea.
Well worth the money id say and BTW it is a watch as well with loads of other features this is just the latest thing they've added

Isn't technology great. I sleep great and I have had a sleep study to confirm it, but a watch certainly is a much easier to find out if you might have a problem breathing at night.
I’m looking for a watch as replacement for my iWatch. Does it have any lights that show in any way in the dark? ANY light which comes on at night wakes me so I never wore my iWatch at night which meant my husband couldn’t either but he’s more restless!
The Versa 2 switches its lights off when it's in sleep mode but if you wake in the night you can press the side button to see the time it doesnt interfere with anyone else
You can have up to 5 different clock faces to suit all occasions, it tracks your heart rate all night and day and counts the steps you take all day.
If you want it picks up your emails and tells you the weather forcast as well as connects you to alexa and the radio.
I dont want those sort of things just the sleep app and steps are what I'm interested in

Thanks for the info, I had a good look at it but decided that for the money, I’m better off sticking with iWatch as I’m used to it & everything syncs seamlessly.
I started with Fitbit but the build was so poor, I decided iWatch was worth the extra & I was happy with it - till the screen went. I just found out that there is a free screen replacement programme so doing that route first.
My watch is still functional but with the screen cracked the touch screen doesn’t respond so makes it really clunky to use. HR sensor still works, as do all the apps. I used to use it to take & make calls & pay in shops so didn’t need to carry anything but that’s not going to be needed for a good while!
Just catching up with all my stuff online ............ for what it is worth I use a Garmin Forerunner 35. I'm only interested in my HR and sleep but it has shedloads of other stuff as well, including steps. Its other feature is it can switch between modes depending on the feature you require, i.e. walking etc.
It doesn't light up at night and I wear it all night. It has a button to manually press if you want to check the time - day or night.
When I complained to my GP about poor sleep she laughed and told me that the old 8 hour thing is a myth these days and that most people my age wake two or three times during the night.
I guess the 25 odd years I spent living on 4 hours a night upset my natural rhythms in more ways than one. That is the problem with living life to the full. Two full time careers even if only one of them was paid. Lucky I was able to retire at 52.
I average 7.5 hours/night, mostly uninterrupted. 10 years ago I averaged 4. You can train your body to do that but nothing to stop the old bladder waking you, especially when AF strikes.
Well it's not a bad thing to be informed Bob and it takes into account that 6 to 7 hours are quite acceptable,it doesnt tell you off for getting up in the night either
We've used FitBit 3 & 4 Charges which offer similar functions. Fitbit 4 was replaced after 4 months under warranty as the screen went dim. We also find the HR function useful for spotting minor AF episodes at night as during these the watch does not tend to pick a high enough HR so its recorded as out of range.
I've got a garmin vivoactive HR watch which is surprisingly accurate for heart rate, steps taken, etc. but the sleep part of the watch appears quite inaccurate in some ways. It appears to know when I have been in deep sleep versus shallow sleep (guessing this is just a movement thing so would be confused by lying still but awake) but often misses if I've been up and down to the toilet, for a drink several times during the night - hope your watch is more accurate.
I had exactly the same watch as you with exactly the same problem with the sleep app being unreliable.
At the time I also had the original fitbit one and wore them together
It confirmed that steps and heart rate were pretty accurate on both.
I wanted something better for sleep monitoring .
The fitbit Versa 2 watch has given me everything I wanted and loads more.
As I said in my post it not only gives you sleep stages, how long you slept , what amount of Rem and deep sleep and the quality of the sleep is graded so if you get a score of 85 it is good or 75 which is only fair.
As if that wasnt a lot already it now gives you a graph showing how much oxygen you take in and if you might be getting problems with sleep apnea.
It's a great watch and gives me everything I want and no I dont have shares in the company
