Pacemaker

Very recently have experienced swelling of my left hand and arm, following CT scan shows a problem with a stricture, probably caused by the vein where the pacemaker wire has been fitted, mid 2021.

Anyone else had problems with the pacemaker wire please?

You didn't get any takers for this question four days ago so doesn't look like it. Have you tried BHF forum where they likely have more PM customers? Sorry I can't help you.

Thanks Bob, I will check and advise, also from the meeting I have with my Cardiologist 17 Jan. I know a few people down here in Weston who have pacemakers and they have had very little problems,

Have you tried the forum on this Pacemaker club? You can read things without being a member, I’ve not joined as I don’t have one.

I did a search for stricture and got nothing, but searching ‘swelling’ had a few hits. Quite a few with swollen left arm @pacemakerclub.com/search

Not sure what is happening - worked when I tried it. A search for “Pacemaker Club’ should find the forums, then there’s a search box near top right.

ETA - this is the URL pacemakerclub.com/

It’s a wee magnifying glass that opens the search part.
