If you had either a GA or a TOE it would be quite common to have a dry cough for some time.
Yes, it's common. I had mine for a week after my 1st ablation, which was sedation only. It's a disturbance of the oesophagal region I think so it triggers a little cough.
It could possibly be from the tube down your esophagus during the procedure. I had mine on Monday and my throat's still a little raspy -- I wouldn't be surprised if I develop a cough from it too.

I had a cough for a few months after having it doneby TOE. At first i was concerned but eventually it settled down thankfully.
