Covid and PVCS

I have had three ablations, the first lasted a short time the second has lasted and kept me in rhythms but after contracting Covid, I havehad a third for many extra beats. I guess you call them pvcs? Has anyone experienced this result? I still have not gone back to the electrophysiologist for my follow up but my watch is telling me and my primary care doctor that these constant episodes are still occurring. Any feedback would be greatlyappreciated

Ectopic beats are notoriously difficult to ablate. Not may EPs even attempt as the risk reward ratio is so low.

I haven't had covid but about 5 or 6 weeks ago had my booster. A week later I started having almost constant PVCs and PACs ; around every third beat and felt dreadful. . 24 hour Holter showed 3000 PACs and 2000 PVCs in an 8 hour period. No one has been able to give me any answers. I have no history of AF but it seems a very strong coincidence that they started so soon after the vaccine. This week they seem to have gradually reduced and almost stopped; just one or two on a morning. GP isn't keen on sending me to see anyone at cardiology. He gave me a beta blocker that i haven't started yet because my BP is already fairly low. My only heart history was a heart attack 4 years ago with very minor damage. NO medication other than aspirin and a statin. I'm seeing a GP this afternoon to make sure I am correct in thinking they've stopped and what to do next.

Happy to hear that your PVCs are abating. I had a similar experience, though not as long and severe and two days after the vaccination (Moderna). Doctor was not interested after the fact and would not even consider allowing me to use a different vaccine. PVCs are supposed to be benign but they are uncomfortable and worrisome and at the rate you experienced them must have been frightening and debilitating. Hope you continue mending. I keep PVCs under control -- it seems, fingers crossed -- by staying well hydrated and taking magnesium.

I'm just back from the GP and she couldn't hear any at all but said they could come back. I've had PVCs for years and years. I feel those like I've been kicked but with both PVCs and PACS wasn't feeling anything at all until my BP monitor showed them. I just felt rotten and kept going dizzy. I'm planning to start magnesium too. I wanted a full test for thyroid b ut husband was gong mad in reception that I'd had to wait to see the GP and he was going out.
