I was looking at the Huawei GT3 pro watch which does ECG now in the UK. It looks good although my be too big for my wrist.
In the advertising they make this claim: "Wearing Huawei smart wearable products such as the Huawei GT3 Pro watch, can help detect and predict atrial fibrillation 2-3 hours before the onset of the disease. Early medical intervention can effectively reduce the frequency of the disease."
The ability to Predict an up coming AF event would be great (sounds too good to be true).
Has any one experience of this watch? If so is it useful for monitoring AF (particularly when sleeping)? Are there any alternative worth considering (Samsung, Fitbit, Withings, Apple - Idon't have an Iphone)
Thanks in advance

In my view utter drivel. a) its not a disease its a condition, b)if you could "predict" it you just have longer to worry abut it and c) you should be on a drug treatment plan any way and nothing new will help.
It sounds interesting doesn't it. I would ask the makers, just how it can predict an oncoming attack of AF. If it can then a tablet could be taken to quickly forestall it.
Hubby bought me a Samsung watch last Christmas. It can be useful having a record of an event but since my stroke in June I have read instructions not to wear it if you have a heart problem so I no longer wear it. I’ll see if I can find those instructions to confirm the actual words.
No knowledge here of that watch, but my son has a Huawei cheap equivalent to a basic Fitbit and he says it's very good for step count etc.
Regarding the Apple watch, it would be useless without an iPhone. Others say a (nearly cheap) used iPhone 4 would be good enough.
I owned a Withings MoveECG watch which I loved. However, the plastic case disintegrated with continual battery replacement (3-4 months not 12 advertised) and then the scratched up crystal cracked trying to get the back to fit. Others say the ScanWatch is good - it's rechargeable. However, the manufacturer support is non-existent if you have a problem.
Says on my Galaxy watch not to use the blood pressure if you suffer with heart arhythmia or other heart problem or a clot and more. The blood pressure was accurate. Unfortunately I messed up pressing update by mistake and watch won't match phone now, so can't use ECG and can't say it applies to that but would think it likely. I have tried sending you a copy of the instructions but don't know where they've gone.
