Thanks to everyone for their replies re my present woes. To avoid clogging up the list, I haven’t replied to everyone. This doesn’t mean I haven’t read or appreciated your reply. If anyone has had a bypass (or had a switch from Sotalol to Bisoprolol) I would be interested to hear what impact, if any, this had in their AF.

Hi Samazeuilh
I'm sorry to hear your latest updates, talk about it never rains but it pours! As others have said, your health has to come first before your house problems,
I can't answer your current question but wondered if it is worth you posting to the BHF forum, as I imagine there are a lot more folk on that forum who have been where you are now.
All the best to you, TC
So sorry for all you are going through. My Mom had a triple bypass with a valve repair and went home 5 or 6 days later on Tylenol! She had it two weeks before Christmas and was able to be back in her own home for Christmas. Best wishes for an East time of it and a speedy recovery!
I was switched from sotolol to bisoprolol and flecanaide about 18 months ago and was absolutely fine with no AF episodes at all. Unfortunately they had to stop the flecanaide about three months ago as it was affecting my heart muscle so I was expecting a return of AF but so far so good. They have also added ramipril and a statin now to the mix.
l have been on sotalol since day one … zero problems. Seems to control my occasional episode very well. I highly recommend. It’s important to visit your cardiologist regularly when on it to check your q-t interval … (time between heartbeats). I have never encountered an issue.
