Try this video on MCAS. Its a new diagnosis and evidently affects 17% of us to a greater or lesser degree. First half quite medical, second half very practical. Essentially about making lifestyle changes to modify the body's own state of health and defence mechanisms, which although not actually mentioned, I believe can lessen AF triggering (eg reducing gut issues such as IBS), particularly if you have vagally mediated PAF.
Taking the recommended action is evidently also linked to protecting against Covid, Long Covid and vaccine injury, which have been reported here as triggering AF.....so seemed to me something worthy of consideration currently. Hope it helps somebody.
Thanks for the post - I just read the summary - which mentions some of the things we have been talking about forever - IF, cold showers, Resveratrol, Ivermectin. Sodium butyrate is new to me and surprised about Melatonin.
we have several here in the states and they’ve all been censored persecuted and medical boards are going after them to take their licenses away pretty much all have gone underground
Since my Vagal Afib started 16 months ago I have noticed that when I get in the shower I get a very itchy head and back, this occurs as soon as the water hits my body. That is one of the symptoms of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome as explained in that article. So regulation of Histamine has so much to do with digestion and the Vagal Nerve.
Haven't listened to the talk yet but Quercetin helped banish my winter hives even with a very low dose. I would be very careful about taking Cetirizine . It can have nasty side effects and cause a withdrawal syndrome if taken for more than a short time.
Crikey. That's an eye opener. Would I have had my recent Covid booster and Flu vaccine after listening to that. Probably, think at least twice. Must be awful for Mothers with babies listening to the last 5 mins. What to do, who does one believe. On oneside what appears to be a very dedicated and passionate Dr, who works daily with patients, with no axe to grind. Or, Politicians, with no scientific training or even knowledge and big Pharma, on the other side. Perhaps the anti vaxers were not conspiracy theorists after all.I hope the old Chinese saying, three things can't be hidden. The sun the moon and the truth. Comes to fruition.
Great Video and post, thank you. I copied and pasted the protocols for reference in time of need. Some of them I am already doing however I can add. It’s going into winter here in the states and I have to wonder of going outside in the cold for 2 minutes would be just as good as a cold shower which sound like torture. It would be well worth looking into. I have been taking 20ml Melatonin every night and I still don’t sleep very well at all. The two things that the dr mentioned what chemical sensitivity and a great sense of smell, that is me to a tee. I finally convinced my husband to stop using the horrible fabric softener on his clothes. He would use the liquid and a dryer sheet. I would have to leave the house while his clothes were in the dryer. Here I am finding this is a real thing, which on one hand is good and on the other hand makes me mad that people can’t respect other peoples issues.
We all had Covid around our household in August and since then my AF had gotten worse I mention this to my doctors and they just look at me with a blank stare, and that makes me a little upset too. Neither my cardiolist nor my regular md has really done much history on me. It seems it’s only the holistic drs that do that.
Therefore it good to learn about the drs that share what they are learning so we all can makes some changes if we need to.
hi. I’m pretty sure my PAF is vagal nerve(s) related and I’m investigating the dorsal vagal nerve in particular, as it’s the one that regulates the heart beat rate. Last week I went to see a brilliant osteopath who found that the Atlas bone (the tiny one between the top neck vertebra and the skull was jammed up, and so were my neck, upper back and chest muscles (longterm low grade stress). We agreed it was surprising I could find toon at all! She also did some oral work to release seized-up jaw muscles (stress and tension!). I had one nasty PAF episode later that night (last Friday), but haven’t had another one since (I was having them 2-3 times a week). I’m seeing her again tomorrow for more ‘work’ and hopefully we can sort this out once and for all. It’s worth a try.
Interesting, there is a member of this group in the States who has a lot of experience in this area, sorry can't recall his name, others may remember. Definitely worth pursuing but with caution I suspect.
