I have been in persistent AFib for 18 months and HR has been fairly Stable.Last 2days I have over excercised HR Up to140 temporarily with twinges in my chest. I rested until down to normal and few hours later Dizzy spells Visual migraine aura & HR 58 to 6 0.Should I be contacting anyone? Or shall I just take it easy for a few days.

Brachycardia attacks help.2 days on the trot.In persistent AFib.Dont know how to deal with it.
any chest pain should be investigated urgently
Thanks Rosy but not heart attack pain & not spreading . Probably a 4 level and not spreading.Just uncomfortable & went away after rest I was very breathless. It is more the Low heart rate.Probably 56 to 58 for about 3 hours now.Not drastically low but low for me & lightheaded & really tired. If it had gets to under 55 I would call 111.Thanks for your reply though.
Are you still in AF? I would have thought you would feel better at that rate unless that rate includes pauses which account for the low rate. That sometimes happens to me when I am reverting to sinus - HR slower and slower with short pauses. If you have a Kardia check how long the longest gaps are. They should be about 5 little boxes, if much longer eg 10 that would be a pause. Hope that helps.
Bradycardia is officially under 60 but it seems cardiologists don’t worry too much about that. It’s how you feel that counts.
I would do exactly that. Ring 111 if at all in doubt. I’ve just returned home after a spell of dizzy spells culminating in one that knocked me out and head wound due to hitting radiator (seen by my husband). Had a pacemaker which will kick in should rate go below 60. Also my AF was breaking through every few days. New meds now 5mg bisop a day & 50mg flec twice a day. So far so good.
58-60 is a good rate and not bradycardia. My heart rate since my ablation is roughly 43-46 and hospital told me although it is low, not to panic unless it goes under 40. Right or wrong I don’t know.Any pain or unusual discomfort I think should be investigated.
Take it easy
Thanks for your reply and believe you were trying to help but People differ and officially I believe under 60 and according my single lead ECG it is.As far as I can ever remember and with my medical history & measurements over 50 years mine has never been that low except when sleeping or very ill. However a sudden change from the norm is a worry and as Buffafly said in her post it depends on how you feel. And I felt bad.I am ok this morning & will take it easy over the next couple of days. I will also ring arrythmia nurses after the back from the weekend rush.
If it were me, I would. Sounds like you're going from tachycardia and then into bradycardia, though 60 is considered a normal heart rate here. I would think you should be seen by a doctor. Afib is not a fatal arrhythmia, but it could cause one to go into one. Probably best not to ignore.
Thanks .I think the Tachycardia is excercise induced &:does go away with rest the brachycardia is new .I just wonder if it is just part of my persistent AFib that I learned to live with.I think I have just been pushing to hard.I will rest & monitor for a few days.I have just been told I am being put on list for ablation.
