Hi does anyone take Furosemide . Flecainide and bisoprolol together. I ve been experiencing breathless on exertion and my GP has prescribed Furosemide 40mgs. I take Flecainide 100 mgs two times a day and bisoprolol 1.25mg. On reading interactions I am worried about side effects .

I take Furosimide in the morning and also Bisoprolol at the same time The Furosimide is taken with Spirolactone and a couple of other tablets. No problems. Been on then for more than a year.

In the past I've taken Furosemide and Bisoprolol but not the other one. Still on Furosemide which is a diuretic, but the Bisoprolol made me feel like I was dying! Very, very breathless and made the whole of my chest feel heavy and tight. Some people have a bad reaction to these beta blockers and I was one of them. You are on quite a low dose though. If you are lucky enough to be able to talk to your doctor (!) then there are alternatives to Bisoprolol which may suit you better.

A few months ago I was prescribed Frusemide due to severe breathlessness, it did the trick but I still get breathless but not so severely, I take sotalol two twice daily and bendroflumathiazide which is a diuretic. Plus others I found the Frusemide dried my skin like an old prune and hated planning any outing on the lavatories available .Still breathless but not so much ,just stop and rest a while.

Hope this helps
