I am very appreciative of the support provided by this forum. I appear to be one of the lucky ones in that I had my ablation back in March at Bournemouth Hospital and it went well with a quick recovery.
I have had no Afib episodes since, I was put on a 7 day monitor back in June which showed nothing to be concerned about and I have just been fully discharged at a follow up consultation.
I know that I cannot be complacent so in order to make the best of the chance provided I intend to keep my weight down, eat a decent diet, no caffeine, little alcohol and keep getting regular exercise.

I agree. Every Once in a while I try to get a thread going of success stories. I had an ablation done in feb ‘19 3 months before I went to Japan! Anyway, still in rhythm so far!
Congratulations! In contrast, my ablation was at the end of June _last_ year, and afterwards I had a bit of a rough time. Things have now calmed down, and I'm getting a 7 day monitor fitted this week. I'm hoping I'll follow you into a discharge after that.
So so happy for you. I am now into my fourth year after ablation and on no meds after 18 years of svt’s. Keep popping back to visit to try and reassure people that there are some successes out there. Stay safe xx
Well done Ashfield, I am in a similar situation having had my 3rd ablation in March and so far no sign of AF, I’ve been told to reduce meds and monitor progress.I also would like to thank the folks on here for all their comments, because on some of the many bad days over the years I realised that the symptoms I was having were not uncommon.
So there is hope for the lucky ones good luck to you all.
