I take apixaban and sometimes get bruises on my fingers. They are no trouble and disappear much faster than the average bruise (o ddly) usually within 48 hours.
Sometimes I remember putting light pressure on the finger other times not.
Any thoughts?

Yes i get that too! Managed to slice shin on corner of dishwasher and never bled so much but managed to stop it ok with pressure. NeededS andE for sutures but I’d stopped the bleeding with pressure bandage. On Apixaban
I'm on no ACs and I bruise easily and have noticed skin gets knocked off very easily. It seems to have happened far too quickly to be just age, over the last 5 years, I am 68 now. I doubt it is Flecainide, maybe it is not sufficient sleep?? as that has been the only issue for the same amount of time that I can think of. A year ago I had such large bruise patches on my arm (due to pressure doing exercises) that I consulted my GP but nothing done and exercises changed all resolved.....pretty sure I wouldn't have had the same 5+ years ago.
It is odd. I only have this issue on fingers usually. Will add to the list of normal for me!!! Like alk phosphatase above normal levels which my GP signs off as " as expected, no further action"!!
It is not unknown that you are prone to bruising and bleeding whilst taking anticoagulants. If you have any questions, or would like any support - please do not hesitate to contact us info@afa.org.uk
Hi there do you ever feel like a really painful part on your fingers. I have noticed that if I bump my finger I can break a little vein it is so painful. I have done it three times in the last month. Apparently it is the pin veins. And the bruise is awful. I am on rivaroxaban.
