Another couple of odd tips

The other day I had what is an increasingly infrequent AFib episode. Very mild and asymptomatic but concerning never the less. I was eating a banana and it had a hair on it. That made me gagg quite badly and almost immediately - NSR! Not sure how I will replicate this other than fingers down the throat but unquestionably it works.

Also I have found a glass of coconut water morning and night eliminates ectopics!

Give them a try folks.

Kenny

I tried coconut water a couple of weeks ago, could be a double bonus there - as it would make me gag too 😂

Ken,

That's quite a hair raising story. Keep them coming!

FWIW I had a flutter episode the other day -- or some type of atach at around 150bpm -- very unusual because I've never had flutter since I've taken Flecainide. So what is the first thing I think about??? I'm thinking I've got to chug a liter of water like Ken did. LOL. Fortunately, before I could say "where's the water" the episode was over in three minutes.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't chug a litre of coconut water - that would combine the simulated chocking and gagging in one manouver my friend 💦😂

Gagging increases vagal tone. I make myself gag every morning also splash face with cold water (nearest I'll get to a cold shower). Have read it should be 3 times a day but never get round to it later in the day.I'm also aware many AF terminators can also kick start AF (like a rocker switch) for some

Splashing face with cold water....rings true, I do it regularly x3 per day and have done for ages not knowing the reason just felt better. The morale listen to your body, we have all tuned out and are more influenced by other factors.

Only 2 AF short episodes in the last 8 years. The last one I stopped by drinking coconut water quickly, very cold straight from the fridge. However, I think it was more the impact of the cold on my Vagus Nerve that did it rather than the coconut, but maybe that helped.

Like Bagrat says these things for the vagally mediated can be like a rocker switch as I have also started an episode by gulping a cold fizzy ginger beer on a hot day.
