Yes there are. It's a great place. So many people to offer whatever advice they can. I hope this forum is here years and years from now. Take care.
Redders, I wrote a reply to your previous Post, but I addressed it to SuziElley because of a different question raised in her Reply. But I wanted to reply directly to you, but repeating some of my previous reply.
I am taking exactly the same daily dose of D3 & K2 you mentioned in your Post, so I was alarmed that you immediately decided to drop to 1000iu per day.
While I am only 3 months into my Vitamin D supplementation, 1 month loading + 2 months maintenance, looking at research led me to believe the dose you originally mentioned was perfectly acceptable. I certainly hope so.
I particularly refer you to the 2 links I give at the end of my Suzi Reply below, which indicate higher doses are being taken without harm. I suppose dosing requires an individual solution, confirmed by repeat testing of levels in the blood.
You will see from Steven Carr's testimony below, the levels of Vitamin D needed in his blood are much higher than normal recommended limits.
Anyway, I have copy&pasted my Suzi Reply below to give you my further thoughts. Hope it helps ...
Suzi, Your loading dose of 40,000iu for 7 weeks = 280,000iu over 7 weeks is exactly the dose recommended by NICE, and which recent research indicates is somewhat out of date.
My GP prescribed 20,000iu per day for 30 days = 600,000iu. Double the units in half the time. Doh! If I survive you should be OK.
Naturally I wanted to restest my Vitamin D levels after 3 months to ensure my high loading dose wasn't dangerous, but my GP said I had to wait 6 months, presumably a rule of my local CCG. Scarey! You can't make this stuff up!
Fortunately this last week I had my first ever meeting with anyone about my AF, a Specialist Clinical Arrythmia Nurse, and she helpfully organised to test my Vitamin D level. Seems like a win to me. I'm now waiting for those results.
Then there's Dr Campbell's YouTube videos and his Vitamin D recommendations, along with his friend Dr Cohen's recommendations found here ...

I was hoping my Vitamin D deficiency was part of the cause of my AF, but I don't yet have the answer to that. With Steven Carr in Australia, Vitamin D and Calcium levels were vital in curing his AF. See here ...

Hope some of this helps someone somewhere,
Bob.
Vit D3 and K2 compete for its absorption so take it separately. There is no enough medical data about K2 role in osteoporosis. So you already took it with DOAC I guess it would be ok. For any supplements you took, ask for a liver enzymes test to make sure your liver tolerates it. With people with Afib, usually they took magnesium too and drink a lot of milk as source of natural calcium for osteoporosis people Calcium and magnesium compete with its absorption so take it separately minimum two hours apart. That is all I can add to it
