I'm thinking about getting a Kardia and I was just wondering if anyone has one that has AF and also a Pacemaker? Apparently I'm in AF around 20% of the time (according to data from PM). I also occasionally have A Flutter and what my cardiologist calls an 'interesting regular irregular rthym'. I'm quite interested in giving it a go to see what it shows.
I did ask my Cardiologist about this yesterday and he couldn't see any problems lwith trying it out
Thanks in advance!

I use Kardia and have a RST type pacemaker but am not reliant upon it. The Kardia will show whether or not I am in AF on the Kardia but as and when the PM kicks in, it sometimes shows what looks like discrepancies on the trace. My EP showed me how to distinguish between the electrical interference from the pacemaker and things like ectopics. Kardia will not recommend it’s use for those with pacemakers for this reason but my EP - who helped trial the Kardia in the UK - was experienced and found the Kardia traces both I and my husband emailed to him extremely useful.
I have a Boston Scientific Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Pacemaker implanted for HF and I am also in permanent AF. Alivecor told me after I tried to take readings on my Kardia they are not compatible.
