I had a cardia reading that’s said normal sinus rythmyn with wide QRS. It was a one off as I have took a few readings since and all come back normal. Is it anything to worry about?

Your bio says you're on Flecainide which can cause QRS widening. A wide QRS interval can suggest bundle branch block. This is not cause for alarm but you should forward the ecg to an ep. They will probably want to do a 12-lead on you, possibly under stress on a treadmill. Depending on what they find, they may want to either just continue monitoring, adjust your dose of Flecainde, or take you off of it entirely and perhaps try another drug.

I also had a single reading on my Kardia of Wide QRS. It was just after I upped my flecainde from 50mg to 100mg twice a day. It happened during exercise. I ended up on a lower dosage of Flecainide and no issues since.

For those not familiar with Kardia, "Wide QRS" is one of the Advanced Determinations for which you pay a monthly fee. If you're on Flecainide this can be a good investment. At least in the US, the monthly subscription service also includes a free quarterly ecg review by a cardiologist and a few other extras such as replacement discounts.

Thanks for reply, I have just had a reply from the cardio nurse who viewed the ecg I sent him, he said “Not remotely wide and no cause for concern”. Put my mind at ease but will keep an eye on it.

I had one of these. I don't think it's anything to worry about as a one off. And I'm on the lowest dose of Flecainide btw

Thanks Singwell, cardio said it wasn’t even remotely wide so perhaps it was an overexcited kardio 😊

If actually true and repeatable, a wide QRS o r wide QT INTERVal can cause dangerous arrhythmia especially with certain drugs.

The QRS should be 1.5 to 2.5 small blocks on the ecg.
