If you use the search box top right you will find reams of posts about insurance.

TBH Trixie100 I’ve just tried using the search box and there appears to be 78 pages of people asking the same questions rather than a pinned post, so having had to go through this as I have AF and MPN I found a company on recommendation through my MPN forum called Staysure but they are located in the Uk not sure where you’re based.

They have provided me travel cover for the last few years with all of my health conditions.

Hope that helps and you get a to have a great holiday.

All the best

Jim

I would look at the last post on Travel Insurance before you go with them!

I always use TravelInsurance4Medical - owned by World First and had great cover at reasonable price, 3 levels to choose from and the medical bit was quoted separately so you knew just how much extra would cost. For Europe excluding Spain it was usually about £30 extra for 14 days but be aware - it’s age in my opinion which is the most expensive portion and soon as you get to 70 and over it starts to rise sharply. For my OH once over 80 it started to go very expensive.

Virtually all companies will cover AF. It’s just a case of getting several quotes and checking reviews on claims. Your policy is only as good as the way claims are dealt with.

Many people will say they have always used a particular company and they are cheap and have been great. Question is have they made a claim with them? Remember, cheapest isn’t always best.

I have experience of one company where I needed to make a claim for AF. I got fast AF on a cruise in the Black Sea. The claim was paid in full, but the claims department were very slow and mistakes were made. Having said that, we used them all of the time because they were the only company who would cover my husbands metastatic cancers. Ironically, it was me that had the claim with AF.
