Amiodarone will be better choice when your other medicines not effective. In my case it works well in control AFib. Just monitor its side effect.

It’s the only thing that has worked for my OH but he really was out of all other options. Does need careful monitoring and the affects long term aren’t always a preferable alternative. It’s very much personal choice - I refused it.

Amiodarone damaged my thyroid and I'll now have to take pills to rectify that for the rest of my life. It didn't keep my heart in rhythm either. Flecainide has been my wonder drug.
