Same thing happened to me with the 3rd lead, which evidently is quite difficult to get right. Like being kicked by a donkey in the solar plexus -they called it’s twitches, something of an under statement. I had to have a revision to reposition the 3rd lead as it was shown to have detached - have you had an X-Ray to check? If that is required then the sooner that happens the better as if left more than 6 months I was told that the lead would be too difficult to bring out and that there were risks involved.

After I had had the revision and replacement, very little, none symptomatic AF but huge improvement in QOL. You can look back at my previous posts of 3-4 years ago about the subject.

Pacemaker doesn’t always stop AF, I’ve just been fortunate. I had mine implanted as I had opted for Pace and Ablate but because it did help me so much, even after the 3rd lead was switched off, I didn’t go ahead with the Ablation of the AV node and so far, since the revision, have only had 3-one 4 episodes always when I had an infection.

If you have had the AV node ablated and you are still in AF/AFl then there is nothing that will stop it, it’s just that because the PM is now controlling your pulse you should feel some improvement in QOL although with a setting of 90, not surprised you’re feeling still not right! I couldn’t tolerate the 75 setting and got it reduced slowly - took about 3 resets but I just kept ringing the physiologist and going in until it felt better, however, because I didn’t have the ablation, my pacing was only kicking in about 20-30% of the time.

Keep on going back until things feel more comfortable for you, sometimes it takes a while to get everything right for you.

For what reason was the CRT advised?

Thank you for reply, I was in Afib/Aflutter for almost 2 months before getting in for cardioversion apparently due to covid, cardioversion didn't work was scheduled next morning for pacemaker. I didn't know I was getting ablation until first adjustment, I got kicked once in a while before adjustment thought that was how a pacemaker worked. After adjustment it started kicking continually thought my stomach was doing 5 BPM 3rd lead shut off tried restarting after ablation with no luck. Hopefully when i go for adjustment March 30th I'll find out more what plan is for 3rd lead and adjustment will help QOL

Ablation - was it AV node or PV?
