Are you always given medication after

Hi after 4+ years with AF.3 Paroxysmal,1 persistent with only Adizem (Dilitazem) added to my BP medication am I likely to be given extra medication after Cardioversion?I have adverse reaction to beta blockers.

My AF is not usually fast AF .

Any comments welcome with thanks as usual.

I never have. Cardioverson doesn't cure anything as I m sure you know but it can sign post future treatments if it works.

As far as I know, not normally for the first CV. If it fails, it is possible that a second is suggested and they may suggest taking a rhythm drug such as Amiodarone for a limited period before and after the procedure……

No I was not put on more medication after cv just kept on anticoagulants - I would have been taken off them but had just got to the age where my score was the same with or without AF I am still on just anticoagulants even though I now have low rate permanent AF as rate control medication doesn’t agree with me.
