Little advice please

Hello, can anyone give me a bit of advice please , I know we are not doctors but some of you might have a similar experience

I’m taking adizam to lower my heart beat etc and going for a scan end of jan etc after many runs to a&e etc

My blood pressure is fine , heartbeat 24 hour average 63 so all good and palpitations manageable but every now and then for no reason my face flushes and I feel an overwhelming weakness like I’m going to pass out and it disappears as fast as it came …….any ideas because it’s beginning to freak me out …….I don’t know if I should use my spray or ring 111 or what ?

That’s hardly any, it does cause flushing but unless you are extra sensitive I wouldn’t think it’s that.

I don’t think it’s the adizam I took it years ago with no problems or side effects and the other few tabs I take I’ve been taking for years just can’t put my finger on it but thanks for the feedback, everything helps Have a good new year 😊

Hello Hazel, After two ablations which worked for a few days, I was playing golf and began to feel 'ill' so I walked a couple of holes but felt no better. Then I passed out, and struggled to return home with friends helping me.

After that my Cardiologist recommended a pacemaker to stop it happening again. It has been quite successful and I do feel much better in my general day to day activities. Once I got over the worry of the pacemaker letting me down I have relaxed and enjoying life again.

I have since fainted, but this was totally different, only a short time before I was ok, where the first time was a good 4 to 5 hours. Many checks later which confirmed my pacemaker was working fine plus no other heart issues which after a CT scan was comforting.

I am 76

Regards

Dave

These things are sent to worry us! I suppose it could be a momentary panic response to some kind of initial stimulus, or (much more likely) to a sudden drop in blood pressure and near faint (syncope). It would likely be hard to capture the event without a continuous monitor. If I were you, I'd phone my GP to ask for his or her advice.

Hi Hazel. I suffered similar for months and found my heart rate was dropping really low. Then, it actually stopped for 10 seconds before starting again. I was rushed to hospital where it continued to stop/start every 3 minutes. I was fitted with a pacemaker in May and I am now fine! Check your heart rate.
