Does anyone take Valerian or any herbal medication, along with warfarin?

I'll copy and paste below but do your own reseach. I used to take valerian for sleep but won't touch it now.

"While the effects of valerian in people with heart rhythm disorders hasn’t been evaluated, the supplement has been shown to slow the heart rate in some people and may cause certain abnormal rhythms. For this reason, you should be very cautious about taking valerian if you have an abnormal heart rhythm"*

Best check with your pharmacist for any interactions with herbal med's and afib.

I avoid Valerian for reason Paul outlined, not worth chancing it. I did consult a herbalist about various herbal remedies & on Valerian the answer was no.

This article, from WebMD, suggests that Valerian can cause heart disturbances: webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingre...

I would definitely run this past your doctor before taking. On a positive note, a friend who took it for sleeplessness (who doesn't have AF) found it highly effective, although he said it made him feel groggy the following morning. He took it in the form of a herbal tea (Dr Stuart's?) but you can also take tablets or a tincture.
