Medication time when travelling to different time zone
Try adjusting the time a few days before. An hour a day won't make any difference.
Done it many times with no problems as BobD suggests. Err on the side of caution - it’s better to miss a dose than double dose so I often worked it out that I might miss one dose in every 8 when travelling through time zones and body readjusting especially travelling west to east.
I made sure I kept my anti coags same till journey was over and then skipped a dose. With the others I started a couple of days before changing a couple of hours ....but just as cd said skipping a dose never take them sooner. Cos sometimes I miss a dose by accident anyway and it’s no big deal in reality.
I had the same problem traveling to the UK from the US. I took my meds between the 5-hour time difference, and then each day adjusted it to the time zone.
I always just take them the following day at dinner time in the new time zone. Been doing it for years and no problem so far. It doesn’t seem to matter if you are 5 hours late.
I always start adjusting my times a few days before so that the jump is not too large in one go - it's not hard to wake early to take or stay up late as day of travel is always odd ans are the first few days when you are there.
