Hi Luludean :-) I recently tried Flecainide and while I appreciate it may be a wonder drug for some people, it was the drug from hell for me . I hadn't realised quite how bad my side effects were until I gradually reduced the dose and stopped taking it altogether. Among other things it affected my vision/mobility/balance/extreme fatigue but worse of all it greatly increased my episodes of P-AF from one every 10-14 days days to one every 3-4 days and the length of episodes from 12 to 20 hours. This was taking 50mg daily and I also tried a larger dose as a PIP at the start of an episode.

Now I have stopped the Flecainide I have returned to the old pattern of episodes, I was worried I might be stuck with the increase.

It wouldn't be so bad coping with side effects if you can see the medication is benefiting you in some way but it can sometimes make your condition harder to cope with.
