I just wondered due to my recent ecg the cardiologist wants to rule out brugada syndrome. I had unexplained syncope in May and they keep mentioning having a loop recorder fitted. Anyway I just wondered if they can rule it out any quicker, I have 3 small children and I've noticed that I keep getting really big spikes and dips on my cardiogam app. For example was sitting watching TV HR was around 60 and then it went up to 193, only for about 30 seconds according to the app but does that mean it could be brugada? I know it's super rare and especially in females. I've just had a tilt table test which conclusively showed PoTs so I guess I'm asking is it possible I could suffer with both pots and brugada? Thank u
Cross posting as well.

Try not to think the worst. Since this is a genetic condition , unless a relative has/had braguda syndrome I think it extremely unlikely. Just make sure that you stay well hydrated at all times .
Your symptoms sound exactly like mine were before my SVT was diagnosed. I could be just sitting quietly and woosh, out I would go. It was a relatively simple fix with an ablation under sedation. So please try not to think the worst.
Yes, it can be confirmed on the spot. In 2015 while have investigations into palpitations a young doctor came into the office after checking my ECG’s and said I was a very special lady. I was 69 years old. Would I be prepared to go to The Hammersmith Hospital under a research programme. I said ok. I spent a whole day wearing a body mapping vest and put under lots of tests and exercises. Then I was wired up and given a drug intravenously. I was warned I would feel a sensation all over the trunk of my body. This one test confirmed Brugada. This diagnoses stops me having any of the normal drugs used for erratic heart palpitations. I have had three ablations and as everything has kicked off again I am waiting for a phone app on Tuesday to see about having another! I am now 75 years old and apart from the rhythm problems, as fit as a fiddle. All I have been told to do is avoid a temperature and to avoid a list of drugs. It is what it is. My big worry was, did my son have it. Thank God he doesn’t. This make the Grandchildren safe. I hope you don’t have it as it hovers above you all the time and takes a lot of mental strength to block it out. Good luck.
Thank you for your reply, I'm going to discuss with my cardiologist tomorrow about having the ajmaline test I would like to either confirm or rule it out. I am more concerned about the genetic component more than anything. I can understand how a diagnosis would hangover you. Have you not had a internal difib put in?
No difib. I think because I am as old as I am without having problems. I also went into AF and my Cardiologist has never known a Brugada patient get AF! I am a special lady!!! Keep in touch. X
