Are anticoagulants stopped prior to ablation?

Anticoagulant and Ablation
No. Years ago they used to stop warfarin five days prior and bridge with Clexane but these days most EPs insist anticoagulation is continued throughout to reduce the chance of any micro clots forming during the procedure. It is also normal to remain anticoagulated for at least three months post procedure and in many cases for life.
I am having an ablation on the 3rd, Tuesday and have been instructed not to take my Edoxaban on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. This will be my 6th and has been the same for all - except a longer gap when on warfarin.
The recommendation is to remain continuously on warfarin or an NOAC. There is over 4 times the risk of complications if interrupting anticoagulation and using bridging: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/297...
No. My Edoxaban dosage was increased prior to my procedure. With all the equipment they stick in your Femoral Vein I don't suppose there is much room for any escapee's.
I have my ablation 5th August and been told only to stop Edoxaban on day of operation only.
