I take 75mg of aspirin daily, and I have been splitting a 300mg aspirin into four. How confident can we be that a quarter of a pill will contain more-or-less 75mg of active ingredient? What does anyone think?

Splitting a tablet
If you really must take aspirin (why by the way?) then get the correct ones.
Why not buy the correct dosage? They don’t cost very much and it will stop you being concerned.
You can be confident. The process of making tablets is fairly standard and requires a lot of mixing of ingredients and testing.
If the tablets you use are scored, then they will most certainly be fine to split, of course. Some tablets, such as sustained release ones, must never be split, but this will be made clear in the required packaging leaflet.
Your pharmacist will know for sure, of course.
Steve
who prescribed aspirin for you?
I was prescribed 300 mg of aspirin for many years until a new GP persuaded me to give them up and instead take an AntiCoagulant, and so I did. That was several years ago National guidance is now to take an AntiCoagulant. I wonder why you still take an aspirin.
