Any sort of idea what this ecg could show on the second line it looks like a half of a beat just can’t work it out what it is? Been getting these more regularly since I’ve stop my beta blockers
PAC or PVC?: Any sort of idea what this... - Atrial Fibrillati...
PAC or PVC?
I’m not a doctor but it doesn’t look like the PVC’ S that I get. They are much bigger than the sinus wave. So I would imagine some kind of atrium “ twitch” rather than a ventricular one.
If you get them a lot I would speak with a cardiologist they are usually considered nuisance not risk but well worth the e ask if you are bothered
Steve
How many PVC do you get a day?
Recently about 1 per hundred beats ( when I had a 48 hr monitor a month ago it was 2 per hundred) my EP says with PVC S they intervene if there is regularly 20% or more or if the patient suffered QOL issues . Just occasionally when I have over exerted or over eaten I can have 5-10 mins of a swarm of them ( one every 10 or less beats) but Deep breathing stops that really quickly
Sorry if there is too much detail above!😀
Steve
I am absolutely unqualified to answer this but could it be a weak PVC/PAC followed by a pause?
If you are worried you really should ask your GP.
When I asked my doctor about this kind of thing, he went patiently through the ECG with me then recommended a book called (I think)ECG Made Easy by John Hampton. In fact he offered to lend me his copy, but when he looked for it he remembered he'd lent it to someone else! Meantime there's this
"ECG Pocketcard By Bbp | New | 9781591034896 | World of Books" worldofbooks.com/en-gb/book...
My layman's take on it is that it is a 'light' PAC as I think there is a p wave showing.
What’s aberrant conduction?
Don't see a p wave. Looks like a PV C to me. In any case should be nothing to worry about..
PVCs are nothing to worry about until they turn to VT. I started with PVCs back in 2019 I used to average 18 per hour they got worse over time which lead to runs of NSVT I’m now waiting for an ablation. My Cardiologist told me that every PVCs you get is a potential of turning to VT. I also ended up having an ICD fitted has a back up.
Nonsustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT), defined as three or more consecutive ventricular beats at a rate of greater than 100 beats/min with a duration of less than 30 seconds
