Have any of you had a hybrid ablation ? I’m considering having one.

Hybrid convergent ablation
I haven’t but the converge trial showed better results with this for people with persistent AF. Probably slightly riskier ( I’m not a doctor) as coming from extra angles but look at the trial results so you know the figures.
I could be in.
Here's another I'm keeping my eye on.

IMO it's improving year by year..

Hi. I was due to have one on 15th July but it’s been postponed until they can get the team together, possibly August. I’ve had the pre-op. I’m nervous, but the only thing that makes my af tolerable is amiodarone, which I want to get off.
So I’m going for it!
Good luck
The nervousness is understandable. I’m apprehensive also. Mine is scheduled August 10.
I don’t know if you’re happier knowing more or less about the procedure, but I have found that meeting the team who are going to do it and finding out more about it has helped. Not too much knowledge, enough for me!
Sounds interesting I’ll keep my eye on it. Is this done in the uk ??
Mine is in Sheffield
I had one four years ago as part of a medical trial. No AF since. Search my posts, I have made a lot of progress reports.
