No that is still paroxysmal. Persistent is when it last seven days or more and needs intervention to revert. Permanent is just an agreement between patient and doctor that they accept AF will not revert and that rate control only will be used in future. (along with anticoagulation of course.)
Ablation? I had daily episodes for 2-20 hours each before mine.
