AF has been linked to inflammatory processes in the body, as, of course, lupus. My wife has a mild form of that which affects only her skin, mainly on her scalp.

That's what my wife, Wendy, has. It flared up when she first got it, long ago, and, back then, there were patches here and there on her upper chest area, too, but they all disappeared and since that time all has quietened down except on the crown of her head which needs Dermovate. She wears a sun hat but easily forgets!

I have read that covid (and some evidence suggests possibly also the vaccines) has caused a rise in auto-immune conditions. It wouldn't surprise me given the way the virus works, but Wendy's condition started a very long time before that.

I had (have?) “severe systemic lupus” and a fib, no skin involvement, mostly hemolytic anemia, from antibodies to my blood cells, flared up a few times. I also had (have?) mild kidney failure which is not reversible and progressive and the only treatment is a vegan diet, so I stopped eating sugar and most processed foods, eat lots of blueberries (yumm) & healthy stuff and after 3 years, no more symptoms of any diseases. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it

Thank you i usually stick to healthy eating, lots of seeds, nuts fruit and vegetables! My symptoms are my skin and the sun even 10 mins outside and I’m burning up and rash on neck and chest, my new best friend is a damp cotton towel !

by the way, the lupus forum was pretty inactive when I checked, the CKD forum is fairiy active, but nothing compared to this forum. These guys really support each other.
