Hi all well my AFIB is back. It went to 123 BPM last night. It’s a little calmer now but still in AFIB. Another day chilling in bed with Netflix I think

Sorry to hear that, but yes, chilling out watching Netflix sounds good. No harm in that. Probably not something too intense though... 😊💜

I'm sorry to read this Bud.

What a tough time you are having. I don't know what to say to help except this. I think your idea to just relax is a good one. Take things easy and try to chill (easy to say I know).

May I suggest not eating to much - just small meals and try to get a good nights kip if possible. Can you sleep on your back or front leaning on the other side of the heart if possible ? You tend to not be so aware of your HR if you do this.

That's good news. It sounds to me like maybe it's passing a little (I'm not a medic though - if in doubt contact your GP or dial 111).

Why not watch some of the old classic's on Netfix ? Just something light hearted to help you relax. Carry On films are really daft but light viewing. It's likely to be before your day but just light entrainment - you could always have a look. Carry on Abroad is one of the best and might bring a smile to your face. It's silly I know but no harm done.

Serious sweetheart - keep your eye on things and contact your medic if you have any doubts. Sometimes it's best not to keep checking but what is your HR now ? For me the first reading is always higher due to worrying about it - the second or third is always lower due to knowing it's not to bad.

Good luck - I'm going to follow the thread to see how you get on.

Loads and loads of best,

Paul x

Thanks Paul. I go for my transplant assessment in 3 weeks. My heart is very unstable now and don’t have any options left apart from transplant

"I go for my transplant assessment in 3 weeks".

No fun I know BUT at least things are moving. Tell you what Tori - better day's are ahead for you. Try and stay postive and know things will get better. I think your courage will see you though this.

I'll take that back - I don't 'think' it will - I know it will.

Paul ;-)

Hi Bud. No - being treated at Stoke and Stafford. However I have heard excellent reports about the heart unit at Freeman hospital. I think it's a very good choice and your treatment there will be second to none.

Best of luck.

Paul

Sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time at the mo buddy so every best wish to get a good result regarding the transplant......that positive spirit will help for sure!

It’s odd isn’t it. Sometimes when you know the afib is going to come back it’s a relief when it does. You just have to sigh and get on with it. The anticipation can be quite stressful. Hope all goes well with your assessment.

That assessment is getting closer, you've waited so long, but I bet your nerves are rattling too which isn't going to be helping your af. You'll get there, just rest up and take it as easy as you can. Love and hugs xxxx

Sorry about that. Hope you're feeling more relaxed and your heart rate has slowed a little. Are you allowed to walk or is that too much? All the best. X

Not really as it kicked off when I was out with mum and dad. We went out for a quick drink. I was sat really enjoying it. Then went to empty my leg bag, and it just came on. I have a long-term bladder catheter xx
