I never drink coffee at home sticking to de caf tea and gave up sugar in tea a year ago.
Today in honour of the slackening of ristrictions we went into M and S Cafe and I had a cup of their best Columbian with two sachets of sugar. Every since I have been bouncing between Mach 2 and pre-syncope.
Man I haven't been this high since 1966!

Sure sounds like the 60s. You should have had one of their delicious cheese scones, warmed with thick butter to mop it up. Sadly I don’t have an M&S near me anymore otherwise I would be joining you. x
Had I not already put on four pounds this week thanks to Sam's home made Tea loaf and Dundee cakes I may well have gone the toasted tea cake or bacon roll route Francis.
Oh dear! Hope you settle soon or you'll breaking the sound barrier. Once happened to me after a delicious cup of Turkish coffee. A friend gave it to me to end a meal. My eyes were on stalks and I was still wide awake at 4am. Maybe this has something to do with the volatility of politics in the Middle East....?
Nice to know that you are almost human Bob😉. Hope you soon return to normal (whatever normal might be 😂)
Who needs magic mushrooms? Thanks for the warning. Think I will stick to being an " old misery " instead of being a "silly old fool." Absence makes the heart grow..............? You take care of yourself in future, and get a grip! Have a happy day.
Sorry about that. My friend and I went to the M&S cafe yesterday and I had a strong capuccino but no sugar. I did wonder though as I had been having decaff at home. Ages ago I read somewhere that decaffeineated coffee could raise cholesterol levels but I don't know why.
If you are making the cake try putting a little less sugar than the recipe states. I do not bake often but made a date and walnut cake a couple of weeks ago with less sugar and it tasted fine. Husband enjoyed it too. If however you are not the baker it might be harder to convince them. 😀
That sounds promising, being that high with no heart issues, your ticker must be getting better. Love coffee but don't like the "excited" feeling it gives me so I keep off it.
I have had decaff coffee at home well before AF but used to have a "proper" coffee whilst out and about with no effects. Post AF, twice at Costa, I ended up with normal coffee (one time, my fault) and within half an hour, heart was like a jack hammer and I was high as a kite!
I always double check now, much to the annoyance of the barista at times, but better safe than sorry. The cake sounds very nice. Flamin hot Doritos for me whilst watching F1 Qually shortly.😊.
